Answer:“The Last Leaf” concerns Johnsy, a poor young woman who is seriously ill with pneumonia. She believes that when the ivy vine on the wall outside her window loses all its leaves, she will also die. Her friend Sue is concerned for her. The doctor says that unless Johnsy has a will to live, it is impossible for her to be saved from pneumonia. He asks Sue whether Johnsy has something worth living for, such as a man, but Sue says that she wanted to paint the Bay Of Naples some day. After a few days, when there is a storm, and strong winds, all the leaves form the ivy vine fall except one. Johnsy says when that last leaf will fall off the vine, she too will die. Behrman, the girls' downstairs neighbour, who is supposed to be a failure at painting, hears about this, and he paints a masterpiece of an ivy vine with one leaf and puts it in the window in the middle of the night. Unfortunately he catched pneumonia himself. The painting in the window is realistic, so it seems like it is the real vine, and the leaf does not appear to fall. This gives Johnsy hope and she gets better. Unfortunately, Behrman dies a few days later. He sacrificed himself to save someone he cared about.

This is the summary of the last leaf. Thanks
