The last sentence of the first paragraph ‘Obviously I did not want to go’. The first sentence of the second paragraph ‘However, I finally did decided to go’. These two sentences are contrary in meaning. At first the narrator did not want to go to work because he spend six months of time at home joyously and he did not want to leave behind his newly-wed wife. But later he decided to go because he had debts. He had no more leave. And his marriage increased his responsibilities.
