Explanation:

It was pouring torrentially when I happened to hear desperate purring. I noticed a cat under my window. I quickly went out to help. She was cooperative and allowed me to bring her indoors, dry her, pet her, and feed her. By the next hour, she had warmed up to me and snuggled up to me, and fell asleep.

I felt immensely happy that a small act of kindness by me had made a stray completely drop their defenses and cause so much peace to them, all while a storm raged outdoors.
