Given :

  • length of each side of cube = 7cm

To find :

  • lateral surface area (LSA) of the cube.

Formula used :

  • LSA = 4 a²

Where :-

  • LSA = lateral surface area

  • a = length of each side of cube

Solution :

length of each side of cube = 7cm

 \implies \: LSA = 4 {a}^{2}

Now put a = 7

 \implies \: LSA = 4  \times {7}^{2}

\implies \: LSA = 4  \times {7} \times 7

\implies \: LSA = 4  \times49

\implies \: LSA = 196 {cm}^{2}

Answer :

lateral surface area (LSA) of the cube = 196 cm²

Lateral surface area of cube is equal to area of sides except top and bottom.

L.S.A of cube = 4 × a²

= 4 × (7)²

= 196 cm²
