ANSWER

given :

L.S.A:1056cm²

height:16cm

L.S.A:2πrh

1056= 2×22/×7×r×16

1056= 44/7×16r

16r=1056×7/44

r= 10.5cm

volume = πr²h

             = 22/7×10.5×10.5×16

             = 22×1.5×10.5×16

             = 5544cm³

Given,

  • The lateral surface area of the cylinder = 1056 cm²
  • Height of the cylinder = 16 cm

To find,

  • We have to find the volume of the cylinder.

Solution,

We can simply find the volume of the cylinder by using the following formula:

     The volume of the cylinder = πr²h

As we know,

   The lateral surface area of the cylinder = 2πrh

The lateral surface area of the cylinder = 1056 cm²

Height of the cylinder = 16 cm

then,  1056 = 2 * 22/7 * r * 16

    1056 * 7 / 44 *16 = radius

               7392 / 704 = radius

                     10.5 cm = radius

Now, the volume of the cylinder = 22/7 * 10.5 * 10.5 * 16

                                                      = 5544 cm³

Hence, the lateral surface area of a cylinder is 1056 cm² and its height is 16cm, then the volume is 5544 cm³.
