The lateral surface area of a cylinder is 94.2 cm sq. and its height is 5cm. Find radius of its base.

Answer:

LSA of cylinder = 2πrh or 2πr × h

height = 5cm

LSA = 94.2cm²

2πrh = 94.2

2 × 22/7 × r × 5 = 94.2

44/7 × 5 × r = 94.2

r = (94.2 × 7) ÷ (44 × 5)

 = 659.4 / 220

 = 2.99cm
