Answer:

Radius of the base =  7.002 cm

Volume of the cylinder =  3,234.54 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

In the context to the given;

we have to find the radius and volume of a cylinder

Given;

Lateral surface area of a cylinder = 924 cm²

height of the cylinder = 21 cm

let the radius be "r"

We know the Lateral surface of cylinder = 2π r h

therefore; by putting the value we get;

924 = 2 x π x r x 21           ( π=3.141)

By transposing method;

r = 924 / (2xπx21)

r = 924 / 131.946

radius = 7.002 cm

by this we have to find the volume of the cylinder

we know that;

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h  ( π=22/7)

Volume of Cylinder = (22/7) x (7.002)² x 21

Volume of Cylinder = 3,234.54 cm³

Therefore;

Radius of the base =  7.002 cm

Volume of the cylinder =  3,234.54 cm³
