Step-by-step explanation:

Lateral surface area of a cone = πrl

πrl= 489.84

3.14 * 12 * l = 489.84

by solving above figure we get

l = 13 cm

So slaint height of the cone = 13 cm

 {h}^{2}  =  {l}^{2}  -  {r}^{2}  \\  \:  \:  = {13}^{2}  -  {12}^{2}  \\  \:  \:  = 169 - 144 \\  \:  \:  = 25 \\  {h}^{2}  =  {5}^{2}  \\ or \\ h = 5cm

So height of the cone = 5 cm
