lateral surface area = 4 a^2

= 4 a^2=256

= a^2=256/4

= a^2=64

=a=8

total surface area = 6 a^2

6 a^2=6×64

=384

Answer:

384sq cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the each side of the cube be s.

The Lateral Surface area of cube= 256sq cm (given)

4 \times {s}^{2}  = 256 \\  {s}^{2}  = 256 \div 4 \\  {s}^{2}  = 64 \\ s =  \sqrt{64}  \\ s = 8

s= 8cm

Therefore,

Total Surface area of the cube=

6 {s}^{2}  \\ 6 \times  {8}^{2} \\ 6 \times 64 \\ 384 {cm}^{2}

Total Surface area of the cube= 384sq cm
