Lateral surface area of a cylinder = 2πrh

Curved surface area of a cone = πrl

according to the question,

2πrh = πrl

and since it's given that the bases are same let us take πr as x

by forming the equation,

2xh = xl

 \frac{2x}{x}  =  \frac{l}{h}

 \frac{2}{1}  =   \frac{l}{h}

2:1 = l:h

since they are asking height of cylinder:slant height of cone, the answer will be 1:2

hope it helps

have a great day.

Dinosaurs1842: when the mean bases are same, they are referring to the circles of the shapes
Dinosaurs1842: so the circles will have the same area and circumference
Dinosaurs1842: hence radius is the same
Dinosaurs1842: hey can you check the question again please?
Dinosaurs1842: oh wait it's correct
Dinosaurs1842: never mind.. hope you found it helpful
