The sentence "The Law Is No Respecter Of Anybody" means that all men are equal in eyes of law. It is based on the principle of Rule of law. According to the to the principle no one exempt for his wrong conduct even if he was a king. Article 14 of the Indian constitution also based on this principle.

Ignorance Is Not An Excuse In Court Of Law: Let's understand it with an example: Suppose Mr.X killed a person and during his proceedings in the court, he said that he didn't know that murder is a punishable crime.

Here in the example Mr.X tries to say he is not aware that murder is prohibited by law and it is a punishable crime.

So if situation like this arise where a person tries to say he is not aware about the law then court would not exempt the person because ignorance of law is not an excuse.
