The importance of ozone layer cannot be discounted as it helps to block the UV rays from entering into the earth surface.

People are using various electrical appliances that are known to free oxygen atoms from the ozone compound.

It results in the depletion of the ozone layer to a great extent. Ultra violet rays are known to cause problems to the people as they result in the skin disease and cancer.

It is the ultraviolet radiations from the sun that are absorbed by the earth at the layer of ozone.

This ozone layer is like a shield to the surface of earth and is responsible for absorbing around to 97 to 99% of the radiations thus protecting us or else it would be critical to survive on earth.
