Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the unknown number be x.

Product of 2 numbers = LCM * HCF

x * 60 = 240 * 12

x = \frac{240 * 12}{60}

x = 48

The other number is 48.

Given :

  • LCM is 240
  • HCF is 12
  • One number is 60

To Find :

  • Other number

Solution :

We're are given that LCM and HCF of two numbers are 240 and 12 respectively. and one of the number is 60 . We've to find out the anther number.

let's another number be x.

For this use following formula :

⇒L.C.M * H.C.F = Product of numbers

⇒240 * 12 = 60 * x

⇒2880 = 60x

⇒x = 2280/60

⇒x = 228/6

⇒x = 48

\therefore Another number is 48
