The Second Number is 232.

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}}

Given :

LCM of the Numbers = 1160

HCF of the Numbers = 29

One number = 145

To Find :

The Second Number

Solution :

Consider the Second number as x

\boxed{\sf{HCF \times LCM = Product\:of\:2\:numbers}}

\longrightarrow 1160 × 29 = 145 × x

\longrightarrow 33640 = 145x

\longrightarrow x = 33640/145

\longrightarrow x = 232

2nd Number = 232

\therefore The Second Number is 232.

\rule{300}{1.5}

\mathfrak{\large{\underline{\underline{Verification :-}}}}

\longrightarrow 1160 × 29 = 145 × 232

\longrightarrow 33640 = 33640

\therefore The Second Number is 232.

• LCM = 1160

• HCF = 29

• One of the number is 145.

_______________ [ GIVEN ]

• We have to find the other number.

_____________________________

• Let other number be M.

We know that..

» Product of two numbers = LCM × HCF

→ 145 × M = 1160 × 29

→ 145M = 33640

→ M = 33640/145

→ M = 232

\huge{\bold{M\:=\:232}}

(Other number)

___________ [ ANSWER ]

______________________________

✡ Verification :

From above calculations we have M = 232

Now..

Product of two numbers = LCM × HCF

We have LCM = 1160, HCF = 29, One number = 145

Put them in above formula

=> 145 × 232 = 1160 × 29

=> 33640 = 33640
