the relation connecting LCM , HCF and product of the both numbers are,

LCM × HCF = a ×b

a = 24 (given)

to find b

therefore,

120 × 12 = 24× b

1440 = 24b

or, b = 1440/24

or, b = 60

Therefore, the second number would be 60
