Let the numbers be x and y.
LCM ( x, y ) = 120 ( Given )
HCF ( x, y ) = 6 ( Given )
One number, x = 30 ( Given )
Now,
( x ) × ( y ) = LCM × HCF
y = ( LCM × HCF ) / x
y = ( 120 × 6 ) / 30
y = 24
Hence,
LCM ( x, y ) = 120 ( Given )
HCF ( x, y ) = 6 ( Given )
One number, x = 30 ( Given )
Now,
( x ) × ( y ) = LCM × HCF
y = ( LCM × HCF ) / x
y = ( 120 × 6 ) / 30
y = 24
