Let LCM=432 and HCF =72

Let one number is “a”=216 and the other number is “b” which is unknown as b=?

To find b we as

LCM=a×b/HCF

LCM ×HCF /a=b putting the value we get

432×72/216=b

Therefor:

b=144

So the other number is 144.
