S O L U T I O N :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}

  • The L.C.M. & H.C.F. of two numbers is 72 & 6.
  • One number = 24

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}

Let the other number be r.

As we know that;

\boxed{\bf{Product\:of\:two\:numbers = H.C.F \times L.C.M}}

A/q

\mapsto\tt{24 \times r = 72 \times 6}

\mapsto\tt{24 \times r = 432}

\mapsto\tt{ r = \cancel{432/24}}

\mapsto\bf{r = 18}

Thus,

The other number will be 18 .

Note :

Full name of H.C.F & L.C.M.

  • H.C.F = Highest Common Factor
  • L.C.M = Lowest Common Multiple
