Hey Mate!!
Let the other number be x.
For any 2 numbers,
LCM × HCF = Product of 2 numbers
=> 48 × 8 = 16x
=> 384 = 16x
=> x = 384 ÷ 16
=> x = 24

let two numbers be 'A' and another be 'B'
Given : A = 16
Now, we know : HCF(A, B) × LCM(A, B) = A× B
8 × 48 = 16 × B
B = 8× 48 /16
B = 384/16
Therefore, B = 24
