THE LCM OF TWO NUMBERS 6 TIMES THEIR HCF. IF THE HCF IS 12 AND ONE OF THE NUMBER IS 36 and find the other number.

HCF=12
LCM=6*12=72
LCM*HCF=product of two numbers
72*12=36*x
864=36*x
x=864/36
x=24

Answer 2

∵ H.C.F = 12

∴ L.C.M = 12×6

ONE NO. = 36

As we know that ,

L.C.M × H.C.F = First no. × Second no.

so,  

Second no. = 12×6×12÷36

              =    24
