SOLUTION :

OPTION (b) is Correct  : 500

500 cannot be their HCF if LCM of two numbers is 1200.

Given :

LCM of two numbers = 1200

As we know that, HCF of two numbers is always the factor of the LCM.

Option (a) ,(c) & (d) is the factor of of LCM 1200. In these options HCF divide the LCM exactly without leaving any remainder. So these can be the HCF .

Only Option (b) is not the factor of the LCM .

Hence, option (b) 500 cannot be their HCF.
