Given :-

  • LCM of Two Numbers = 138.
  • GCD of Two Numbers = 23.
  • Ratio of Two Numbers = 1:6

To Find :-

  • Largest Number among The two ?

Formula Used :-

  • LCM * GCD = First Number * Second Number .

Solution :-

Let us Assume That, Two Numbers are x & 6x Respectively.

Than,

First Number * Second Number = LCM * GCD

Putting Values we get :-

x * 6x = 138 * 23

→ 6x² = 138 * 23

Dividing Both sides by 6

→ x² = 23 * 23

→ x² = 23²

Square - Root Both Sides,

→ x = 23

Hence,

The Largest Number Among Two = 6x = 6 * 23 = 138 (Ans.)
