The other number is 24 ( option B).

Given:

Two numbers’ L.C.M is 192

H.C.F of two numbers is 8

One of the two numbers is 64

To find:

The second number.

Solution:

Suppose the second number X.

We know the relation between two numbers and their H.C.F and L.C.M.

The product of L.C.M and H.C.F is equal to the product of two numbers,

L.C.M× H.C.F = Product of the two numbers

H.CF is 8

L.C.M is 192

one of the two numbers is 64.

Putting the values of H.C.F and L.C.M in the relation, we get the second number.

192× 8 = 64 × X

X = 24

Hence, the second number is 24.
