Answer:

BOTH A and B ARE CORRECT

Step-by-step explanation:

let the two numbers be 4a and 4b where a and b are co prime numbers,

now, H.C.F×L.C.M = two numbers

4 × 24 = 4a × 4b

96 = 4a × 4b

ab = 6

after factorising them ,

(a,b)=(1,6)and (2,3)

so, the possible pair could be

( 4,24 )and ( 8,12 )

according to the question,

4 +24 = 28

8 + 12= 20

hence , both a and b are correct

hope it helps you

thank you
