Correct Question :-

  • The lead of a rectangular box of side 40 cm by 20 metre is sealed all round with tape what is the length of the tape required ?

Given :-

  • Length of reactangular box = 40 m
  • Breadth of rectangular box = 20 m

To Find :-

  • Length of tape required = ?

Solution :-

:\implies \textsf{Length of tape required = Perimeter of reactangular box} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \textsf{Length of tape required = 2 (Length + Breadth) } \\ \\ \\

:\implies \textsf{Length of tape required = 2 (40 + 20) } \\ \\ \\

:\implies \textsf{Length of tape required = 2 (60) } \\ \\ \\

:\implies \textsf{Length of tape required = 120 cm} \\ \\ \\

:\implies \underline{ \boxed{ \textsf{Length of tape required = 12 m }}} \qquad\Bigg\lgroup\textsf{\textbf{12 m = 120 cm}}\Bigg\rgroup \\ \\ \\

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{\textbf{12 m}}\textsf{ of tape is required to sealing rectangular box}}. \\ \\

✦ Question :-

The lead of a rectangular box of side 40 cm by 20 metre is sealed all round with tape what is the length of the tape word?

Answer :-

\red{\bigstar} Length [l]

\huge\leadsto{\sf\purple{12 \: m}}

Given :

Length of the rectangular box = 40 cm

Breadth of the rectangular box = 20 cm

Find :

Length = ?

Solution :-

According to the Question :-

Length of tape required = Perimeter of the rectangular box

So , Applying formula :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 (40 + 20)

= 120 cm

Now , Converting it into cm

= 12 m is the required answer .

Additional Notes :-

❥ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( L + B )

❥ Perimeter of square = 4 × Side

❥ Perimeter of triangle = AB + BC + CA

❥ Area of Rectangle = L × B

❥ Area of Square = ( side ) ²

❥ Area of Rhombus = Product of Diagonal/2.

❥ Area of Parallelogram = Base × Height.

❥ Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height .
