Leaf of the plant wilt when stomata is blocked because of the following reasons:

  • Stomata helps in gaseous exchange, and if gaseous exchange will not take place then photosynthesis will not occur. Hence, the leaf will wilt.
  • Stomata regulates water level inside the plant by process of transpiration. If stomata will be blocked then transpiration will not take place. Hence, leaf will wilt.
