The least nos. of required square bricks to make the floor is 30.

Step-by-step explanation:

The least nos. of required square bricks to make the floor is 30.

Given:

The length of  the floor is 150 cm.

The width of the floor is 125 cm.

To Find:

The least nos. of the square bricks required to make the floor.

Solution:

As given- The  length of  the floor is 150cm.

As given- The width of the floor  is 125 cm.

Area of the floor =  Length of the floor x Width of the floor

                             =150\times 125 = 18750 \ cm^{2}

The dimension of the square brick required to make floor = H.C.F. of 150 and 125

To get  H.C.F. of 150 and 125.

The factors of the  125 = 1,5,25 and 125.

The factors of the  150 = 1,2,3,5,6,10,15,25,30,50,75 and 150.

So, the H.C.F.of 150 and 125 is 25 because it is the greatest number that divides evenly into all of them.

The dimension required the square brick to make floor = H.C.F. of 150 and 125 = 25

Area of  the square brick= (Dimension)^{2} = 25^{2}  = 625\ cm^{2}

The least nos. of  required square bricks  to make floor=\frac{Area\ of\  the\ floor}{Area\ of\ the\ square\ brick }

=\frac{18750}{625}  =30

Thus, the least nos. of the square bricks required to make the floor is 30.
