The left lung has only two lobes, which is one less in comparison to the right lung.

These two lobes are called the upper and the lower lobe.

These lobes are divided by a structure that has two sides to it is called the Oblique fissure.

The reason for the left lung to have one lobe less than the right lobe is because the left lung is adjacent to the heart in such a way that the heart has some shared space with the lung.
