first of all the perimeter of rectangle will be 2(17+11)cm that's equal to 2*28=56
and if perimeter of square is also 56 so we will divide 56 by 4= 14cm

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square
Length of rectangle = 17 cm
Breadth of rectangle = 11 cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)
= 2 × ( 17 + 11 cm)
= 2× 28 cm
56 cm
Perimeter of square = 4 × side
Side of square = Perimeter ÷ 4
56 cm ÷ 4
14 cm
