The lenght of a cold storage is double its breadth .its height is 3 m the area of its four wall is 108 m square .find its volume.

{\huge{\underline{\underline{\sf{\blue{Solution :-}}}}}}

Let length, breadth and height of the cold storage in meters be / , b and h respectively.

Given,

Length , is two times its breadth , therefore / = 2b .

Area  \: of \:  four  \: walls  \: =  \: 108 \: m ^{2}

Formula :-

Area of four walls = 2(l + b) h sq. units

Therefore,

2(l+b)h = 108

=> 2 × (2b + b) × 3 = 108

 =  >  \:  \frac{108}{18}  =  \: 6 \: m

Now,

l = 2b

l = 2 × 6 m = 12 m

Volume of the cold storage

= l × b × h cu. units

(12 \times 6 \times 3) \:  {m}^{2}  = 216 \: m ^{2}
