Length of pole is 5 and half metres which is 5.5 metres or 11/2

Thus, portion painted in blue is

11/2 - (11/2 * 1/3) - (11/2 * 1/4)

= 11/2 - 11/6 - 11/8

= (264 - 88 -66) /48

= 110/48

= 55 /24

Answer:

55//24

Step-by-step explanation:

length of a pole is 5 and half meters which is 5.5. meters or 11/2..

thus, portion painted in blue

11/2-(11/2*11/3) (11/2*14)

11/2-11/6-11/8

=(264-88-66)-148

=110/48

=55/24
