Answer:

Breadth of rectangle=4m

let the length of the rectangle be =x

Then the length =4×x=4x

Perimeter of rectangle=2×(l+b)

40 = 2×(4x+4)

40 = 8x+8

40-8=8x

32=8x

\frac{32}{8}=x

4=x

Therefore the length of rectangle=4×4=16m

And the breadth=4m

Area of rectangle =l×b

So,

L=16

B=4

=16×4

=48m

Therefore the area of the rectangle=48m²

Answer:

Let,the breadth of rectangle be x m

the length =(x+4)m

perimeter=2(l+b)

=2(x+4+x)m

=2(2x+4)m

=(4x+8)m

a/q

40=4x+8

=>40-8=4x

=>32=4x

=>32/4=x

=>x=8

Hence,

breadth=8m

length=12m

area=l*b

=12*8m²

=96m²
