Answer:

SOLUTION

Length of rectangle = ?

Perimeter = 16cm

Width = ?

Let the width be x and length be (x+4)

Perimeter of rectangle =2 (l+b)

16cm = 2(x+4+x)

16/2 = (4x+x)

8 = 4x+x

8/4 = x+x

2 = 2x

2/2 = x

1 = x

Width = x = 1

Length = x+4 = 4+1 = 5

The length of the rectangle is 5cm and width is 1cm
