perimeter = 96 cm
let the breadth be x
then,the length will be 3x
perimeter = 2(L+B)
= 2(L+B)=96cm
= 2(3x+x)=96cm
=2×4x = 96cm
= 8x = 96 cm
then,. = x = 96/8 = 12cm

then, breadth = 12cm
length. = 12×3 = 36cm

Given :

  • The lenght of a rectangle is three times its breaths.
  • their perimeter is 96cm.

To find :

  • Dimensions of the rectangle =?.

Step-by-step explanation :

Let, the breadth of the rectangle be, x

Then, the rectangle of the rectangle, 3x .

It is Given that,

The lenght of a rectangle is three times its breaths.

We know that,

Perimeter of the rectangle , 96 cm

As We know that,

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

96 = 2(x + 3x)

96 = 2 × 4x

96 = 8x

x = 96/8

x = 12

Therefore, We got the value off x, 12 cm

Hence,

The breadth of the rectangle, x = 12 cm

Then, the length of the rectangle, 3x = 12 × 3 = 36 cm.
