Question:

The lenght of a rectangle is twice of its breadth. Find the dimentions if the Perimeter is 156cm.

Given:

Perimeter of rectangle = 156cm

And, Length is twice of it's breadth.

We know that :

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Solution:

Let, the value of breadth be x.

Then, length = 2x (twice of it's breadth)

\orange\Rightarrow 2(l+b) = 156

\orange\Rightarrow 2(x+2x) = 156

\orange\Rightarrow 2x+4x = 156

\orange\Rightarrow 6x = 156

\orange\Rightarrow x = \frac{156}{6}

\orange\Rightarrow x = 26

\therefore The value of breadth = 26cm

And, Length = 2(26) = 52cm
