Let

B=x

L=2x

Then

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

48 =2(x+2x)

48=2×3x

48= 6x

48/6 = x

8 = x

Hence

Breadth = 8cm

Length = 2×8 = 16cm

Answer:

breadth is 8 and length is 16

Step-by-step explanation:

given,

length of the rectangle = 2b

perimeter = 48 cm

So,

2(2b+b) = 48

=> 2b + 4b = 48

=> 6b =48

=> b = 48/6

=> b = 8

breadth is 8

now putting the value in length = 2b

We get,

=> l = 2b

=> l = 2*8

=> l = 16

so, length is 16
