Let to be breadth x
then,

Length =2x-8


then,

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

2(2x-8+x)=56

3x-8=56/2

3x-8=28
3x=28+8
3x=36

x=36/3
x=12


Again breadth=12m

Length=2x-8=2*12-8=24-8=16
