❍ Here, the question has given us the lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus that are 15cm and 24 cm respectively. Now, the question has asked us to find the area of the given rhombus. So, to find the area we need to apply the formula of area of rhombus when diagonals are given and we will get the required answer.

ANSWER:-

» Area of the rhombus is 180 cm².

GIVEN:-

✰ Length of the 1st diagonal = 15 cm

✰ Lenght of the 2nd diagonal = 24 cm

TO FIND:-

⇨ Area of the rhombus = ?

FORMULA:-

➲ Area of rhombus = ½ × D1 × D2

⇛ Where,

  • D1 = Diagonal 1
  • D1 = Diagonal 1D2 = Diagonal 2

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

  • D1 = 15 cm
  • D2 = 24 cm
  • Area = ½ × D1 × D2

⇛ Area = 1/2 × 15 cm × 24 cm

⇛ Area = 1 × 15 cm × 24 cm / 2

⇛ Area = 15 cm × 24 cm / 2

⇛ Cancelling 24 by 2

⇛ Area = 15 cm × 12 cm / 1

⇛ Area = 15 cm × 12 cm

⇛ Area = 15 cm × 12 cm = 180 cm²

Hence, we got the answer. Area of the rhombus is 180 cm².
