The lenght of rectangle is 3.8cm and its breath is 4.7 cm. What is the perimeter and area of the rectangle.(With solution).

Given, length = 3.8 cm and breadth = 4.7 cm.
Now, perimeter = 2( l + b ) = 2( 3.8 + 4.7 ) = 2(8.5) = 17 cm

Now, Area = l × b = 3.8 × 4.7 = 17.86 cm²

length given= 3.8 cm
breadth given= 4.7 cm

∴ perimeter of a rectangle= 2(length + breadth)
                                         = 2 x (3.8 + 4.7)
                                         = 17 cm

and

∴ area of a rectangle= length x breadth
                                = 3.8 x 4.7
                                = 17.86 cm²
