the lenght of the side of a cubical box is 10cm.there is another cuboidal box with its length breadth and height being 12.5cm , 10cm and 8cm respectively. 1. which box has more lateral surface area and by how much is it more? 2. which box has less total surface area and how much less?​

 =4(10x10)  

=400

lateral surface area of cuboid =2h(l+b)

=2×8(12.5+10)

=16×22.5

=360

the cubical has more lateral surface area by 40cm^2

2. Total surface area of cube = 6edge^2  

=6(10x10)  

=600

​Total surface area of cuboid= 2(lb+bh+hl)  

2(12.5×10+10×8+8×12.5)

=2(125+80+100)

=610

So, the total surface area of cuboid is larger by (610−600)=10cm^2
