So the perimeter of park be = 2×(2x+x) m

So the breadth of the park is = 40m

The length of the park is = 40×2= 80m

Now there is a 2m wide path inside the park, along it's boundary,

So the length of the park with the path = 80m

and the length of the park without the path = 80-2 = 78 m

And the breadth of the park with the path = 40 m

And the breadth of the park without the path = 40-2 = 38 m

So the area of the park with the path = 80×40 m^2 = 3200m^2

And the area of the park without the path =

78×38 m^2= 2964m^2

So the area of the path = 3200- 2964= 236 m^2

Now the cost of paving 1 m^2 path = 80 Rs.

So the cost of paving 236 m^2 path = 80×236= 18880 Rs
