The length and breadth of a floor of a room is 5 metre by 3 metre it is to be covered with square tiles if each square tile is offside 25 cm find the number of tiles required

Answer:

area of floor = L×B

= (5×3)m

=15 sq m

25cm express as meter = (25/100) cm

= 0.25m

area of square (tile) = side×side

= (0.25× 0.25) m

= 0.0625 sq m

number of tiles are require = 15/0.0625

=240 tiles
