Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

The length and breadth of a hall is 20 m.

The length and breadth of a hall is 20 m.and 16m. respectively. Addition of area of

The length and breadth of a hall is 20 m.and 16m. respectively. Addition of area ofthe flooring and the area of ceiling is equal to the area of the four walls or the hall.

To find:-

Find the height & Volume of hall.

Using formula:-

Area of four walls of a room=

Lateral surface area of the cuboid=2h(l+b) sq.units

Volume of the room=lbh cubic units

here l,b,h are length,breadth and height of the cuboid respectively.

Solution:-

Length of the room=(l)=20 m

Breadth of the room=(b)=16 m

Area of the floor=b=20×16=320 sq.m

Area of the ceiling=b=20×16=320 sq.m

Area of the floor+Area of the ceiling=Area of the four walls of a room

=>2h(l+b)=320+320

=>2h(20+16)=640

=>2h(36)=640

=>h(36)=640/2

=>36h=320

=>h=320/36

=>h=80/9m

=>h=8.88m

Height=80/9 m or 8.88m

Volume of the hall=lbh cubic units

=>V=20×16×80/9

=>V=25600/9m³

=>V=2844.44m³

Answer:-

Height of the hall=8.88m

Volume of the hall=2844.44m³
