Let the breadth of the park be x m.
therefore length = 2x m.
its perimeter = 2(l + b) units
=> 2 (2x + x ) = 6x m.
But perimeter = 240 m
therefore , 6x = 240
=> x = 40
therefore, breadth of park = 40 m
length of the park = 40 * 2 = 80 m.
Its area = l * b
=> 40 * 80 = 3200 m2
breadth of the excluding part = 40 - (2 + 2) =40 - 4 = 36 m.
length of excluding part = 80 - 4 = 76 m.
Area of excluding part = l * b
=> 76 * 36 m2 = 2736 m2
Therefore, area of the path = (3200 - 2736)m2 = 464 m2
Rate of paving = Rs. 3 /m2
Therefore, Cost = Rs. (464 *3) = Rs. 1392
therefore length = 2x m.
its perimeter = 2(l + b) units
