Answer :

›»› The perimeter of a rectangle are 72 cm.

Given :

  • The length and breadth of a rectangle are 10 centimetre and 8 centimetre.
  • The length and breadth doubled.

To Find :

  • The perimeter of a rectangle = ?

Solution :

The length and breadth are doubled :

→ Length = 10 * 2

→ Length = 20 cm

→ Breadth = 8 * 2

→ Breadth = 16 cm

As we know that

→ Perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

Let, us assume that the length be "l" and the breadth be "b"

→ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

→ Perimeter = 2(20 + 16)

→ Perimeter = 2 * 36

Perimeter = 72

Hence the perimeter of the rectangle are 72 cm.

Extra Brainly Knowledge :

  • Area of Rectangle = length * breadth.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b).
  • Diagonal of Rectangle = √(l)² + (b)².
  • Area of Square = (Side)².
  • Perimeter of Square = 4 * Side.
  • Diagonal of Square = √2a.
