given :-

length = 12cm

breadth = 5cm..

we have to find length of diagonals

so we will use Pythagoras theorem

formula given below :-

= +

= (12)² + (5)²

= 144 +25

= 169

h = 169

h = 13 cm

hence the length of diagonal is 13cm

Answer:

Diagonal of rectangle is 13 cm.

Step-by-step-explanation:

The diagonal of rectangle is like a hypotenuse.

So, by Pythagors Theorem

(Hypotenuse)² = (Length)² + (Breadth)²

=> (Diagonal)² = (12)² + (5)²

=> (Diagonal)² = 144 + 25

=> (Diagonal)² = 169

=> Diagonal = 13 cm

Hence,

Diagonal of rectangle is 13 cm.
