By using Pythagoras Theoram

( AB ) whole square = ( BC ) whole square + ( BD ) whole square

( AB ) whole square = ( 35 ) whole square + ( 12 ) whole square

( AB ) whole square = 1225 + 144

( AB ) whole square = 1081
