Answer:

24cm..

Step-by-step explanation:

given;

length = 9cm and breadth = 4cm

a/q,

area of rectangle = area of square

length × breadth = side²

9cm× 4cm = side²

√36cm² = side

then, side = 6cm

now, perimeter of square = 4×side

= 4×6cm

= 24cm,ans..

Given :

The length and breadth of a rectangle are 9  cm and 4 cm respectively.

To find :

Find the perimeter  of a square whose area is equal to that  rectangle.

Solution :

Length of rectangle = 9 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm

∴ Area of rectangle = 9 × 4

∴ Area of rectangle = 36 cm²

Now atq,

Area of square = Area of rectangle

∴ Area of square = 36 cm²

Also, area of square = Side²

⇒ Side² = 36

⇒ Side = √36

Side = 6 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

⇒ Perimeter of square = 4 × 6

∴ Perimeter of square = 24 cm

Perimeter of such a square = 24 cm.
