Ratio of length and breadth is 2:3

Perimeter of rectangle is 90cm

Formula to calculate the

- Perimeter of a rectangle is : 2(l+b)

Let the length and breadth be 2x and 3x

Now , substitute length and breadth in the formula

2 ( 2x + 3x )

2 ( 5x )

10 x = 90cm ( from given info )

Therefore , x = 9cm

Length = 18cm

Breadth = 27cm

Consider x to be the common multiple of both the ratios

According to the Question,

The sides would be 2x and 3x

Given:

Perimeter:90cm

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle:2(l+b)

Implies,

2(l+b)=90

→2(2x+3x)=90

→10x=90

x=9

Now,

Length=2x=2(9)=18cm

Breadth=3x=3(9)=27cm

Hence,the length and breadth are 18cm and 27cm respectively
