Given :

  • The length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ratio 3:2.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 250m

 \\

To Find :

  • Area of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :

✰ In this question, Ratio of Length and Breadth is given and perimeter of rectangle is also given. So Firstly we will find the Length and Breadth of the Rectangle by applying 2 ( Length + Breadth ) as perimeter is given. After finding Length and Breadth we will apply Area of Rectangle that is Length × Breadth to find the area.

⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Let's Do It..!!

⠀⠀

⟶ Let the Length of Rectangle be 3x

⟶ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be 2x

According to the Question :

⟹ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (L + B)

⟹ 250 = 2 (3x + 2x)

⟹ 250 / 2 = 3x + 2x

⟹ 125 = 3x + 2x

⟹ 125 = 5x

⟹ 125 / 5 = x

25 = x

Therefore :

  • Length = 3x = 3 × 25 = 75m
  • Breadth = 2x = 2 × 25 = 50m

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀________________

Now,

⟹ Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

⟹ Area of Rectangle = 75 × 50

⟹ Area of Rectangle = 3750m²

Thus Area of Rectangle is 3750m²

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
